2021 Requests for Proposals and Scholarship Rounds

Applications for Requests for Proposals and Scholarships are being accepted in four key areas:

  • A: Disciplinary Theme (DT) & Inter-Disciplinary Programme (IP) Research Projects
  • B: Proposal Development Grants
  • C: Vision Mātauranga Focused Projects
  • D: Communication, Education & Engagement (CEE) and Diversity, Equity, Wellbeing & Inclusion (DEWI) Focused Projects

2022 TE PŪNAHA HIHIKO

VISION MĀTUARANGA CAPABILITY FUND (VMCF)

This year’s VMCF round is now open. Te Pūnaha Hihiko: Vision Mātauranga Capability Fund aims to strengthen capability, capacity, skills and networks between Māori and the science and innovation system and increase under-standing of how research can contribute to the aspirations of Māori organisations and deliver benefit for Aotearoa. For more information and funding documentation see the MBIE website. Proposals are due via the IMS portal. Closing date for applications to be received by the Research Office is 4 November 2021.

ENDEAVOUR FUND ROADSHOWS

2022 Investment Round

MBIE is preparing for the opening of the 2022 Endeavour Fund Investment Round. They will be presenting three roadshows virtually on 4, 11 and 12 October 2021. At the roadshows they will:

  • Review the 2021 round
  • Highlight changes related to the new Investment Plan for the Fund
  • Provide an overview of Smart Ideas and Research Programmes mechanisms, available funding, applications process, key dates
  • Cover eligibility, investment signals and impact categories, assessment criteria, changes in the assessment process, and key documents

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, each roadshow will take place via a Zoom webinar. While free to attend, numbers are limited, so please register and secure your place at the one you wish to attend, using the registration link below. 

There are three time options:
Roadshow 1: Monday, 4 Oct – 9:30am-11.30am. Register Here for Roadshow 1
